About Chats de Gensac

From 1st January 2012, identification became obligator in France in the case of re-homing, resale or gifting of a cat or a kitten over the age of 7 months leading to more & more cats are now being abandoned. The bills aim was to reduce the number of animals euthanized in shelters, sometimes by mistake.

Hence the reason I wanted to start a rescue home for them. Chats de Gensac will only be a very small affair. We will be able to home between 15 to 20 cats plus kittens, at least its few more cats saved from being put to sleep.

All the cats in our care will be spay/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped before allowing them to go to their forever home. These costs will be paid for by the new owners directly to our local veterinary practice.

Please follow us as well on Facebook Chats du Gensac & see how the building work & fund raising is doing.
